What is laughter?
Laughter (In case you didn't know) is an audible expression or an inward feeling of joy. We laugh because of something humorous or joyous, But why do we laugh when tickled? Why is it that when my friend falls down a step and his face lands in a pie while a little monkey rides a bike in a tuxedo I jiggle in fits of weird cackling noises? A theory of laughter by Sigmund Freud (an Austrian Psychologist) explains it as the relief theory. The relief theory states that laughter is a release of tension or "psychic energy", hence why people sigh of laughter after a close call, it is the relief after a passing danger. When we laugh you would be surprised at how good it is for your health! Her are a few benefits.
.A good long chuckle can keep your muscles completely relaxed for approximately 45 minutes or so, it relieves your body from stress and muscle pain.
.Have you ever noticed when you have that big exam on, or that huge meeting, or that important presentation that you can't mess up, you get sick? That's because the hormones released when we are stressed, cause our immune system to become exhausted and then uh oh! You get a that cold or flu that's going around. By now you should know how amazingly awesome it is to laugh, not only because that old lady in the supermarket cue couldn't control her wind, but because it's healthy! ( the laughing, not old lady wind) Laughing can do all sorts of things for you, so why not laugh a little more? we need to, so start now....
